Woo Hoo.

It's full moon again, the Pink Moon of April. And I get to sleep in moonbeams tonight because it rises just right to shine in my own special window. And and AND! Mr. Squirrel and I had a chat today! Just when I was beginning to worry since I hadn't seen them in ages. He ran away when my mom came home for lunch, so she only got to see his fluffy tail as he jumped over the wall.

Mr. Squirrel was telling me that Mrs. Squirrel is expecting. They're in their summer home now. He said they've still got all their food in the underground pantry of their winter home and they only come by every now and then. You know what else he told me? Caroline's boyfriend stuck his footie way down in one of the holes one day when Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel were still there. Can you imagine? Well, Mr. Squirrel just gave that footie of Mr. Blue Bell a big old swat. And Mr. Blue Bell went straight up into the air! Mr. Squirrel said he and his wife almost fell over laughing!

Then Mr. Blue Bell did this little half-bounce away, got mad and went back to the hole to try to swat whatever swatted him. And Mr. Squirrel did it again! Well, Mr. Blue Bell just zoomed away, jumped on the wall and disappeared over the other side. I wish I could have seen THAT, Caroline's manly squeeze acting like a great big baby.

  1. i wanna know where your Mom works that she gets to come home for lunch all the time. my Mom NEVER comes home for lunch and that seems to me a loss of valuable Mom time....and, and, you get BABY squirrels! how cool is that???

  2. Mr brofurr Ping tells me he caught a squirrel one time when he was an inside/outside cat. Momma doesn't let him go out anymore since he ran away and was gone fer a few days. But, he said gettin' that squirrel was so much fun!

  3. I once rumbled in an alley with a gang made up entirely of baby squirrels.

    They kicked my butt.

  8. Hello William,

I am so jealous at the moment. You get to go outside?!?! My human pet refuses to be trained to open the doors to let me out. Whatever you have done to train your human pet, please let me know so I too can meet some of these lovely people.

  9. Hi Zeus,

Thanks for visiting and welcome to our community! No, I don't go out--none of us do (except for Mom, of course)--I visit all my friends through our windows. I don't like the outdoors anyway--I find it too scary based on past experience.

  10. Hey Edsel,

My mom says that's what some old farmers call it. We'd never heard of it either, a pink moon!
